I’ve known Andy for nearly 20 years, HSBC as ‘ man and boy.’ He has remained humble and pragmatic throughout his distinguished career with the bank, working his way from junior clerk to senior executive roles. This culminated in his appointment as Regional Director North and HSBC’s Head Of Network where he led a UK team highly regarded across the industry.

A guy with great values, sound principles and a desire to ‘ do the right thing ‘ … for his people, customers and the shareholder, ‘ an admired colleague across the organisation with a reputation for delivering quality results.

What he won’t shout about is the great charity work over many years raising £ millions for his own charity, Little Angels and other beside ( Great North Air Ambulance and The Alzheimers Association)

He leaves HSBC after 37 years outstanding service knowing that, despite the industry challenges his reputation and legacy are something to be very proud of.

I’m delighted he hasn’t decided to ‘ hang up his boots ‘ and wish him well as he sets off with MBH Property Developments. I know deep down he will bring the same rigour, ensuring that quality is paramount and will know build homes that will match his VERY HIGH STANDARDS. After all he is very particular !

We first met Terry back in 2008 when he was part of the family business, working alongside his father. What immediately impressed us was his pleasant manner and excellent work ethic. He is reliable, always on time with a the standard of work that is second to none. He works tirelessly in all weathers, wind and rain without complaint and a great sense of humour.

Since that first successful renovation Terry has returned to work for us on a number of occasions, laying paving, building garden walls and a further extension with kitchen refit. We remain in touch with the Barrett family and have watched as Terry has taken the opportunity to study further and set up on his own. He recently undertook a full renovation at a relative’s property and did so promptly and at a fair price. A great team building a beautiful home, a great outcome.
